Reports that former Missouri receiver Jeremy Maclin was having an MRI done on his knee on Tuesday turned out to be false. Maclin went down awkwardly on Saturday at the NFL Scouting Combine and reports were that he had hyperxtended the knee. Various outlets have been reporting throughout the day that Maclin, despite returning to drills on Saturday, would have an MRI done today.

"My knee is fine," Maclin told PowerMizzou.com via text message on Tuesday afternoon. "I didn't even get an MRI on it."

Maclin had hoped to run a sub 4.3 in the 40-yard dash at the combine. While that didn't happen, reports of his performance have been generally positive. He is considered one of the top two wide receivers in the draft, and there is some thought he could be the first wideout off the board as Michael Crabtree deals with complications of a stress fracture.

The next chance for scouts to view Maclin in action will be March 5th when he goes through pro day in Columbia. He plans to run the 40-yard dash again at that event.
