Lowe sees bright future for LSU

Back in July, Brownwood (Tex.) four-star offensive tackle Stavion Lowe opted for LSU over numerous other offers. Five months later, he remains as firm as ever in that commitment and said the reasons he chose LSU have not changed.

"I chose LSU because they are family oriented," Lowe said at this week's Under Armour All-American Game in Orlando. "They are close to home. When I went there it felt like it was the place for me. I feel like I can contribute early on and the depth chart is favorable because it looks like there are open areas on some places along the line. There is just a lot of opportunity there."

Despite some changes to LSU's coaching staff, Lowe said he is not the least bit concerned about the future of the program.

"I have talked to Coach Porter about it," Lowe said. "It really won't affect me. As long as Coach Miles is there, that is what really matters to me. I don't see anything changing that will affect me."

While the Tigers are looking for some new members for next year's coaching staff, they are also looking to load up on the recruiting trail as well.

With 20 commitments so far in its class, LSU is hoping to close strong over the final month of the recruiting season.

"From what I know that is probably one of the best classes ever," Lowe said of the Tigers' haul to date. "We have a lot of top dogs and we are looking to get a few more. I just think we can be a force to be reckoned with in a couple of years from now."

After Lowe wraps up the UA All-American Game, his focus will be on only one thing.

"I am just waiting for Signing Day. I am not going to do anything else as far as recruiting," Lowe said. "I am going to get back to the grind after this. I am just going to focus on getting ready for LSU and the next level."

Lowe will suit up for the White Team in Sunday's UA All-American Game.
