With the start of fall camp, Tuesday's Top Tigers makes its return to PowerMizzou.com. Each week from now through the end of football season, we will rank the 11 Tigers who had the best week, either during practice or on game day. A player's ranking one week has no bearing on his placement on the list the next week. On to our first ranking, from the first week of camp:

Tuesday's Top Tigers
RANK PLAYER THE ANALYSIS LAST WEEK
1 Danario Alexander, WR On an offense full of stars, none has shone brighter than the sophomore from Marlin, Texas. Three catches for 79 yards plus a nine-yard reverse in the scrimmage was just the latest big day. N/A
2 Sean Weatherspoon, LB Every time you see Spoon play, you like him more. He is in on almost every play and his emotion is contagious. N/A
3 Carl Gettis, CB Gettis came in as a freshman who no one was sure was at the right position. He is. He will play this season. N/A
4 Chase Daniel, QB Daniel is so good in scrimmages that it is not even noticed anymore. Nine-for-12, 182 yards. Good start. N/A
5 Paul Simpson, CB Coming into camp, Simpson was not a player who was on the radar really. But his improvement has really eased the pain of playing without starters Hardy Ricks and Darnell Terrell. He made a nice interception of Chase Patton on Monday. N/A
6 Adam Crossett, P Even if Jake Harry had come in kicking very well, Crossett would probably remain atop the depth chart. He has been punting better than at any point in his career. N/A
7 Colin Brown, OT Brown has earned a lot of reps with the top offensive line with his play in camp so far. It is looking as if this could be the year Brown finally plays a pivotal role. N/A
8 Will Franklin, WR Franklin has not really done anything that has surprised anyone. However, he just shows up every single day. He is the preferred target for Daniel and has turned into a solid leader. Franklin had four catches for 78 yards on Monday. N/A
9 Brock Christopher, LB Christopher goes about his business quietly, but if the Missouri defense is going to make the improvements many hope it will, the middle linebacker will be a major part of it. He has been strong in camp so far. N/A
10 Jeremy Maclin, WR Maclin is on this list in large part because we've been waiting so long to see him. If he has lost much since his knee injury, he must have been amazing before it. Maclin has had a solid camp and will be a big part of the rotation. N/A
11 Jimmy Jackson, TB Jackson has had plenty of chances to impress with Tony Temple and Marcus Woods now both down with an injury. He has done a solid job and looks faster than I thought he was. The job is Temple's, but Jackson has another few days to prove he can be a capable No. 2. N/A
