NFL Draft diaries:

Teams that need a top-flight wide receiver in this year's NFL Draft are probably happy there was an infusion of youth recently.

According to Rivals.com NFL Draft partner Frank Coyle of draftinsiders.com, the top five receiver prospects in this year's draft are underclassmen.

The talent pool at the position is very deep because of the influx of juniors who decided to leave college early. Players like Ted Ginn, Jr., Dwayne Jarrett, Calvin Johnson, Robert Meachem and Sidney Rice not necessarily in that order apparently made the right decision to enter the professional ranks.

Will a team take a flier on former Notre Dame receiver Jeff Samardzija who signed a professional baseball contract with the Chicago Cubs organization? Before turning to baseball, Samardzija was listed as a top-40 prospect by draftinsiders.com.

Find out which senior is ranked the highest in Coyle's list of the top available wide receivers.

Frank Coyle's Position Rankings: Quarterbacks | Running Backs | Wide Receivers

Coming Friday: Fullbacks and Tight Ends.
