DALLAS -- The 2014 Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour arrived in Texas on Saturday, and with it came some of the best football players in the Southwest. The top-ranked player in the state of Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas were on hand at DeSoto High School, in addition to 13 other Rivals250 players and a host of other BCS-level players.
Two of the top five players in the state of Texas competed on Saturday, including four-star linebacker Malik Jefferson, who was MVP of his position group.
The top quarterback on the day was Jarrett Stidham, who made news by committing to Texas Tech on Friday before putting on an MVP performance. Stidham is the top-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the nation and showed off his skills all day.
Along the offensive and defensive lines, a pair of players who are off the market shone brightest. Oklahoma commit Josh Wariboko was O-line MVP and Texas A&M commit Daylon Mack took home D-line honors.
Next up for the Rivals Camp Series will be a stop in Houston on Sunday, which will again feature some high-level talent from the state of Texas, including a group of strong underclassmen to watch. Stay tuned to Rivals.com for complete coverage from Westfield High School.
At each camp, our team of football recruiting experts invites elite players to participate in the 2014 Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge Presented by Under Armour. The event will be held June 6-8 at M&T Stadium in Baltimore.
