Back in the hunt?

Most who follow recruiting will admit that the state of Georgia is loaded in 2013 with most of the elite talent on the defensive side of the ball.

One of, if not the top prospect for the Peach State in 2013 is Troup County linebacker Reuben Foster.

Foster committed to Alabama in July after many believe he almost committed to Georgia the weekend before.

Foster, despite being committed to Alabama for five months, made a trip to Athens this weekend, and the attention he has received from the Georgia staff is the main reason for the surprise visit.

"I really had to make the trip to Athens because of the love and attention they have been showing me," he said. "They have been really working on me and showing me a lot of respect, so I decided to return the favor."

Foster definitely surprised Bulldog Nation with his visit to Athens this weekend, but the Georgia coaches did their part to surprise the star linebacker.

"When I got there, there was a jersey hanging in the locker," he said. "It was my number, number 20, in a Georgia jersey with some pants and cleats in the locker, and the coaches said, 'this can be your locker. This can be you.' I liked it a lot because I love number 20. It was a really cool experience."

Despite the love from Georgia's coaches and the visit to the Classic City, Foster insists that a few things remain the same.

"I'm solid to Alabama in my heart," he said. "I have to follow my heart right now because your mind will play tricks on you, but I committed to Alabama because they were on my heart and still are."

Although the Crimson Tide have Foster's heart at the moment, the Peach State standout understands that he could have a change of heart down the road.

"The door is still open for everybody," he said. "Georgia knows how I feel about them and they are going to keep working on me, but the door is still open for sure."
