COLUMBUS, Ohio - The five Ohio State freshmen who played on Sunday accounted for just shy of 50 percent of the offense against Walsh. Jared Sullinger will garner most of the headlines with his 22 points and ten rebounds but each of the other four players who were on the court made their own strides as well.

Aaron Craft gives the Buckeyes a very real option at point guard but playing against Walsh is very different from playing against Florida in less than two weeks. Craft did chip in 12 points and eight rebounds in his rookie debut however and there is reason to be optimistic.

DeShaun Thomas showed off his physicality in his limited minutes and gives the Buckeyes yet another body to bang in the uber-competitive Big Ten once the calendar flips over to 2011.

And both Jordan Sibert and J.D. Weatherspoon each had their opportunities as well and there time will come. After all there is only one ball on the court and there are some other talented players out there as well with the likes of David Lighty, Jon Diebler, William Buford and Dallas Lauderdale.

But Sunday was about the kids and we were there when the freshman were given their first opportunity to talk to the media as Buckeyes. Check out what they had to say.
