Four suspended for K-State

Some people have to learn about dealing with success. All four of UCLA's suspended players, Randall Carroll, Milton Knox, Morrell Presley and Courtney Viney, made plays that helped the Bruins win that football game in Tennessee. Now because of choices they made, they will have to sit out the game against K-State.

With Viney down that will open an opportunity for Sheldon Price who was running with the ones during Tuesday's practice.

True freshman quarterback Richard Brehaut had the edge taking reps with the ones over Kevin Craft, but UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel hesitant in naming a starter for Saturday's game with Kansas State.

On the mend; Christian Ramirez was in full uniform, but it didn't appear that he took any reps. Reginald Stokes and Nick Ekbatani were doing some running on the side and are nearing getting ready to get back into the fray.

The ever optimistic, Aaron Hester thinks he's going to be back next week, but that seems like a long shot.

Neuheisel: "A little bit of a sluggish Tuesday. Not uncommon when you are come back from a long road trip, trying to get back up on the horse and trying to gain that energy again, but I think as we look at the tape, we will see that we got a lot done. We just have to be a lot crisper tomorrow as we prepare for another big time opponent in Kansas State, but I'm looking forward to it."

"I think everybody received the announcement about the suspensions? Unfortunately, we've had four players (Randall Carroll, Milton Knox, Morrell Presley and Courtney Viney) break a team rule and I had to administer appropriate discipline, but just like when your children break rules, you discipline them, then try to love them back up and they'll earn their way back into playing capacity. Hopefully after the Kansas State game and that's probably enough to be said about it.
