Four-star safety updates his status
There is no question that the Mobile, Ala., area is one of the richest recruiting hotbeds in the country.
It is also home to one of the top prospects in the country in Blount High School's Jarrick Williams. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder is considered by many to be the nation's best safety.
"I'm already the No. 1 safety in the country so I think I stack up pretty well against anybody," Williams said.
Williams has a growing list of 14 scholarship offers from schools across the country vying for his signature on signing day. He already has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, LSU, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Southern Miss, Louisiana Tech, South Alabama and Ole Miss.
"Recruiting has been going real well for me," Williams said. "I am hearing from a lot of schools and pretty much all of them have offered me. I am sitting pretty good right now."
Although he has plenty of offers, Williams stated that he does not have any favorites at the moment and that his decision could take a while.
