Two-way standout will take time

There is a very good argument that Robert Woods (6-1, 185, 4.43) from Gardena (Calif.) Serra will be the most sought after player in the Golden State this season. He certainly is one of the nation's most electrifying players. He already has offers nine offers on the table and a pending offer from one of the nation's most prestigious football programs.

Woods has offers from UCLA, USC, Washington, Washington State, Stanford, Oregon, Cal, Arizona State, and Colorado. He has an offer pending from Notre Dame.

College such as Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Michigan are just a sampling of schools that are interested in the talented two-way standout for Serra.

As a junior, Woods was simply outstanding on both sides of the ball. His stats are good enough for some high school careers, but the following statistics are only for his junior season.

As a defensive back, Woods accounted for 87 tackles, seven interceptions and one fumble recovery.

On the offensive side of the ball, Woods was virtually unstoppable catching 81 passes for 1,378 yards and 19 touchdowns while averaging 17.0 yards per catch.
