QB commit not so sure about Auburn

Fort Meade (Md.) Meade four-star quarterback Raymond Cotton is still committed to Auburn, but according to his father, Raymond Cotton, Sr., that could change soon.

Cotton, Sr. said Sunday, a day after Auburn announced Gene Chizik as Tommy Tuberville's replacement, that his son was now seriously reconsidering his Tiger pledge.

According to Cotton, Sr., the announcement of Chizik as the new head coach wasn't what he and his son was expecting.

"We were shocked," said Cotton, Sr. "Raymond wasn't real happy with the decision they made. We thought about it all last night and talked about it again this morning. As a parent, my comment is Auburn did nothing to prove to me they want to be a winner."
