Attention's there, is Lutzenkirchen looking?

Philip Lutzenkirchen had a strong senior campaign and many programs other than the one that he was committed to took notice. The four-star tight end is committed to Auburn, but he opened things up a bit when they fired Tony Franklin mid season. Since then, many new schools have entered the picture.

"When schools heard I was looking around a little, I started getting a lot more attention," said Lutzenkirchen. "I got offers from South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Texas Tech, Kentucky, and maybe a couple of more."

Those are all schools that have offered the 6-foot-4, 245 pound tight end over the last six weeks. He chose Auburn back in May over schools like Clemson, Miami, Florida State, Clemson, and Georgia Tech.

New schools are trying to get in the mix and he thinks two more may get involved in the near future.

"Texas wants me to call them and I have been told if I call, then they are going to offer me. I have not talked to them yet."

"Georgia was here on Monday and I talked to Coach [John] Lilly for a while. He talked to me about why they backed off when I committed to Auburn and he wanted to let me know that they were interested in me now that I have opened things back up a little."
