CB Green talks Iowa State visit

Official visit No. 2 for San Antonio (Texas) James Madison cornerback Andrew Green took place this weekend in Ames, Iowa, where the 6-foot-0, 181-pound prospect had a chance to experience Iowa State for a couple days. Green returned from his official visit and spoke about his impressions.

"It went good. The coaches were good and the players were nice," Green commented. "The game was nice and the fans were crazy. It was a good atmosphere."

Iowa State assistant coach Jay Rodgers has taken the lead for the Cyclones in Green's recruitment, but the official visit gave the three-star prospect a chance to meet some of the other coaches on staff.

"I met with Coach (Gene) Chizik, Coach (Jeff) Koonz and the other DB coach," Green reported. "We talked about how I could fit in and how they needed me. I was very impressed by them."

Rivals.com rates Green three stars and lists him as the No. 50 player in the state of Texas and the No. 38 cornerback prospect in the country.
