McCoy received a lot of attention in Athens

Last week was a big one for 2010 defensive lineman Denzel McCoy. September 1 rolled around and offers started rolling in for the junior out of Duluth (GA) Northview. To cap the week off, he visited the University of Georgia and he received a lot of one on one attention there.

"I got over to Georgia on Saturday morning and the whole visit was great," said McCoy. "The game was great, the game day environment was crazy, and the Dawg Walk was insane. I had never seen anything like what it was like at Georgia before. I had a great time."

The Dawg Walk stood out to McCoy, but the attention he received from Head Coach Mark Richt really impressed him as well.

"I spent a lot time with Coach Richt before and after the game. He pulled me and Marcus Lattimore aside and he talked to us a lot, let us go into the locker room when he talked to the team, and we really made a good connection."

"He talked to me about my season, how Georgia was doing, and things like that. I got to eat lunch with him and it was all really nice. I was surprised that he talked with me so much, but it was great."
