Practice Report: Final scrimmage tomorrow

The Missouri Tigers held their final full-length workout before Thursday's third scrimmage. PowerMizzou.com has the full rundown:

*Chase Coffman and Danario Alexander both participated in practice with red pullovers on. They were held out of full contact drills, but both caught passes. Jared Perry is still out with a shoulder injury. Brian Coulter, whose MRI was negative according to Mizzou, was also in a pullover.

Gary Pinkel said he now expected Danario Alexander to return before the projected date of October 1st.

*Defensive end Aldon Smith is practicing with the Tigers. No sign of Rolandis Woodland or Drew Temple.

Play of the Day: In 11-on-11 DeVion Moore broke a big run up the middle. Tough to judge the distance in a tag drill, but Moore burst through a gaping hole. He has good quickness and will definitely get his share of carries this year.

Player of the Day: Has to be Coffman. I said last week if there was a player on the roster who could afford to miss a few days, it was Coffman. He hasn't missed a beat.

The Tigers cancelled this afternoon's second practice. The final open scrimmage and practice will start at approximately 9:00 tomorrow morning.
