For Jersey's Evans, everyday is Mother's Day

Joshua Evans has as many offers as any 2009 prospect in North Jersey. While many observers give the edge to Elizabeth's Raymond Graham on the offensive side of the ball, Evans, a rising senior at Irvington, gets the nod on the defensive side.

The quarterback-strong-safety cornerback said Monday he had received 27 offers from schools as varied as Florida, West Virginia, and Nebraska. Considering he spent no time at any of the May combines of June college camps, the gravity of his abundant offers cannot be minimized.
