Auburn QB commitment making move

Auburn has received its first out-of-state commitment, and didn't have to do anything to get it.

Quarterback Raymond Cotton, who led Mobile (Ala.) Faith Academy to the AISA state runner-up as a junior, will transfer to Fort Meade, Md. to finish out his high school career. Cotton committed to Auburn earlier this month.

Cotton's father, Raymond, Sr., an officer in the Coast Guard, was recently transferred to Fort Meade. Cotton, Sr. said he would be moving the entire family up the east coast soon.

Cotton, Jr. recently ran in the AISA state track championships, finishing third in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash. His 4x100 team finished second.
