Wort talks about his decision

Word started to get out late last night that New Braunfels, Texas potential four-star linebacker Tom Wort might be making a decision between three schools that had essentially become his finalists, LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M. He visited the schools in the listed order and after taking some time to think about whether any more visits he came to not only a decision about more trips, but his future college home.

"I had kind of decided a few days ago. I took the three visits and had such a good feeling about Oklahoma, the coaches and the people there," Wort explained. "I kind of made up my mind and I was thinking it over and talking with my family and coaches.

"Yesterday I had decided, I made arrangements with coach Brent Venables to verbally commit today."

Obviously Venables didn't get the news for the first time this morning but when he was first told that Wort would make his decision he offered to perform some stunts that would have Oklahoma gymnastics coach Mark Williams envious.

"He was really excited, he was just saying that he was going to do backflips. He told me how great of a decision I'm making and how good of a team we're going to make. It made me even more confident about my decision," he said.
