Practice report: Tigers back to work
The Missouri Tigers went through another indoor spring practice thanks to the rain in Columbia. PowerMizzou.com was there and has all the notes from the ninth workout of spring ball:
There is a possible new addition to the injury list. Van Alexander went down on the final play of practice and was carted out of the Devine Pavilion. Pinkel said he believes it was a sprained knee. The injuries to Weatherspoon and Alexander, combined with the dismissal of Marquis Booker and the departure of Connell Davis means that four of Mizzou's top seven linebackers are either out or limited right now. Steve Redmond has just recently returned after missing the first half of spring. Brock Christopher joked that the Tigers were going to start scouring the rec center and Pinkel mentioned that he might suit up at backer himself for the spring game. We'll have the full rundown on the depth issues at linebacker in a story on Wednesday morning.
Missouri will return to the practice field for workout #10 on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 and PowerMizzou.com will be there to pass on all the news.
