No favorites for Washington
Quinton Washington has size strength and athleticism but he isn't the least big complacent with any of it. The 6-foot-3 315 pound offensive tackle from St. Stephen (S.C.) Timberland is working hard in the off-season and picking up more offers.
"I run track right now," Washington said. "I'm also trying to train for the weight lifting meet we have on Thursday. I'm going to try to get 380 on the bench and I'm going to try to get 600 on squat."
While trying to gain strength in the weight room, Washington is also trying to lose some unnecessary weight.
"I'm trying to get my weight to 305," he said. "I'm at 315 right now. I'm trying to get faster and work on my footwork too."
Last weekend, Washington spent some time on the Clemson campus for it Junior Day and enjoyed his visit.
"It went pretty well," Washington said of the trip. "I got to meet Coach Bowden, coach Bascott. It was fun. I really liked the people on campus and the campus itself. I don't have any more tips planned right now. I can't think of any more right now."
Washington doesn't have any favorites to date.
"I'm just going to wait it out and see what happens," he said. "I don't have any favorites or anything. They're all good schools and have good programs."
