Impressive transformation for the OL

It didn't take long for new offensive line coach Rick Trickett to make his presence felt. Before the first workout even began, he announced that his entire unit was going on the Jenny Craig plan and he certainly made good on that promise.

Thanks to a combination of exercise, an improved diet and motivation, the offensive line started reporting massive weight loss just a few months after Trickett's arrival. By the start of the 2007 season, the nine returning linemen lost a combined 170 pounds, with six players losing 20 or more pounds.

"The big issue coming out of the blocks for those guys was weight loss," Strength and conditioning coach Todd Stroud said. "His (Trickett's) emphasis was on weight loss to begin with and that was mainly achieved through cardiovascular work."
