UGA has two big needs in 2009

Georgia signed one of the premier classes in 2008 and signed 24 recruits out of 36 that they brought on campus for official visits. Even though the list of 24 is very impressive, they have needs in 2009. A couple of positions stand out that the Dawgs will need to recruit hard and address over the next 12 months. We will talk about those positions and the UGA targets right here.

In the class of 2008, no quarterbacks were signed, only one true interior defensive lineman was signed, and two top receivers were signed. Those three positions will need to be addressed in the class of 2009.

The quarterback position has already been addressed, but they are not done. We expect Georgia to sign two signal callers in this class and Zach Mettenberger out of Watkinsville (Ga.) - Oconee has already secured his spot.

Mettenberger, a 6-foot-5, 217-pound strong armed QB committed to UGA late in January. Now, who will Georgia go after next?

There are a few different names out there with offers that are known as National recruits like Tom Savage of Cardinal O'Hara in Philadelphia (Pa.) and Aaron Murray that plays for Plant in Tampa (Fla.), but then you have in-state athlete Donavan Tate to consider as well.
