Best sports memory: "I would have to say playing against Saguaro in the rain and I ran for a big touchdown and I was really moving."
First time he knew he was good: When I got to Chaparral and they just turned me into something I didn't think I could be. I didn't play lick of defense until my senior year, they said you got the speed, I went to a combine and put up D1 numbers they said you could do it."
On eventually moving to ASU: "The thoughts, I don't know. I just think it's going to be all right. It's going to be different not being able to look at my mom every day when I wake up. I want to play ball and go to school. You've gotta be a man someday. I'm just going to do me. My mom and dad work a lot. I go to school on my own, get around on my own. So that part won't be that different."
On his decision to attend ASU: "For one, when I was on my official visit, I liked how they treated me. When I get free time I can see family. Arizona is where I was born and I'm not ready for cold weather. I love coach Erickson, coach Stretz, and coach Burns, we touched bases a couple times, I like (Erickson), he knows what he's doing."
On his goals for the coming year: I don't know. I really haven't set any goals expect to go out there 110% and go from there."
On his signing day plans: I don't have any yet. I try not to think about it a lot. When it's there it's there. I don't think about. I'm not the type of person who gets excited before I'm there because I always feel like you might get your excitement crushed, you will get your feelings hurt. Then when you get there you can really get excited."
