Foster trying to set up trip to SDSU

Cedric Foster was originally scheduled to take his first official visit to San Diego State the weekend of December 7th.

But because his team made it to the CIF Southern Section championship game, he was forced to cancel the trip.

The 5-foot-8.5, 191-pound athlete from Riverside (Calif.) North would still like to check out what the Aztecs have to offer.

"I don't have a visit date with San Diego State set yet, but it will be sometime in January," he explained. "I am going to try to get in touch with them to set that up. I have also been talking with Utah State about taking a visit."

Tight ends coach Toby Neinas is responsible for Foster's recruitment from the Aztecs' staff.

"San Diego State is trying to rebuild right now," he said. "They are trying to get back into the status of playing in bowl games. They were one of the first to offer me so that means a lot."

Foster helped North to a CIF Southern Section championship and he was named his league's Offensive MVP. Foster rushed for 1,186 yards and 24 touchdowns.

He also recorded 64 tackles and five interceptions on defense.
