Bulldog DE target picking up steam

Sunday afternoon we gave you the latest scoop on one of the Fresno State visitors last weekend and his feeling about his visit to the valley. On Thursday, he picked up another offer and has another major program taking a close look.

Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic High School defensive end Logan Harrell has seen things pick up in recent weeks as the word has gotten out that he is pretty good. Harrell picked up another offer on Thursday and called to share the news.

"I got an offer from Washington State," Harrell said. "Coach Niekamp called me and told me what was going on with their new staff up there. They are talking about a visit in January."

In addition to Washington State and Fresno State, Harrell has offers from UNLV, Idaho, Idaho State and Montana. He had recent attention from Florida and had a second SEC program start showing interest this week.

"LSU just called on Tuesday night and they got my highlight film and really liked it," Harrell said. "They called back yesterday to get all my transcripts sent out there."

Harrell is 6-foot-4, 270 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash around 4.7 seconds. The talented defensive end/offensive guard earned All-Trinity League honors following the 2007 season.
