UCLA commit sets two visits

One of the early birds to the UCLA table was three-star linebacker Donovan Carter (6-2, 226, 4.65) from Lake Balboa (Calif.) who committed to the Bruins in June. Like many other Bruin recruits since the coaching change, Carter has become the target of interest for many other colleges. He was however, one of 17 recruits who showed up on the UCLA campus last weekend.

"My trips to UCLA went really good," Carter said. "I just liked the fact that all the commits got together and were able to hang out.

"Even though the trip went good, I have to keep my options open," Carter said. "UCLA doesn't have a coach yet so I'm just going to take my visits and go from there.

"I'm going to visit Washington on January 11th and Arizona State on January 18th," Carter said. "There is a good chance that I will visit ASU with the twins (Birmingham defensive end bookends Malik Jackson and Marquis Jackson).
