MSU moves into lead group for nation's top center

The top center prospect in the nation visited Michigan State over the weekend and the trip to East Lansing was well worth it for Hamani Stevens.

A 6-foot-4, 290-pound center out of Hemet, California, High School, Stevens is ranked as the No. 1 center in the nation by Rivals.com and the No. 19 prospect overall in the state of California.

"It went great," said Stevens, when asked about his trip to Michigan State. "I really love all the coaches at Michigan State. The coaches are awesome. All the players seem like one big family also. It's a real good atmosphere."
