Harper ready to step back

Wichita (KS) Northwest ATH Chris Harper has had a few weeks off since the end of the season and admitted that it's been nice. He said over the past few weeks, he's had a chance to step back and get healthy for the winter.

Harper said one of the few things he has done over the past few weeks has been trying to sort out recruiting more and more. He said that while talking with his final five schools, he has been able to set up quite a busy week before his final official visit this weekend.

Harper said that he was looking forward to his visit this upcoming weekend out to Eugene. He admitted that he was excited for the trip, but at the same time, he was somewhat ready to be done with the trip already.

Harper said over the last few weeks, his talk with coach Andy Hill has been similar to what he's been hearing for much of recruiting, but joked that it's still nice to hear from a coach he's been able to get to know pretty well.

Harper said that he was glued to the TV Saturday night like, he joked, everyone in America. He said that he was very impressed with the game, although he admitted that it wasn't all that shocking to him.

Over the past month, Harper saw Missouri in person twice as well as this past weekend's game. He said the exposure to the Tigers has been nice, but watching on TV hardly compares to being at the game.

Recently, it was announced that Harper, along with Arthur Brown, would be making his college announcement on December 17th. He said that even if he had a leader before then, he didn't think he would let on before the announcement.
