Jerod intrigued by Pac 10 school

Despite the fact that then-undefeated Arlington Bowie as well as DeSoto had both assured themselves of making the postseason, the pride of winning the District 8-5A championship made the atmosphere at the game seem almost like that of a playoff contest.

DeSoto defensive lineman Tony Jerod understood this from the get go.

The 6-foot-3, 250 pound Texas A&M commit had a sack on the first play of the game and wound up with perhaps his best performance of the season with two-and-a-half sacks, seven tackles and a blocked field goal in DeSoto's 24-23 victory this past Friday night that gave them the district championship.
