Wallace picks up offer, gets notice from UK
Bowling Green (Ky.) tight end Ryan Wallace picked up another major scholarship offer on Thursday and also recently learned that one of his offers may be hanging in the balance.
"I got an offer from Georgia Tech today," he said. "I've been talking to them for a while now, so that was nice. They told me it was only a matter of the head coach needing to approve it, and they finally got around to doing that.
"I was down there this summer and really liked it. They'll probably end up being in my top three. I like the fact that it's in Atlanta, it's a great school with strong academics, and there would be lots of opportunities for me there in Atlanta after I graduate."
Wallace (6-4, 217, 4.8) has an impressive list of offers that also includes Kentucky, Cincinnati, Colorado, Rutgers, Stanford, Wake Forest, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Purdue and Miami of Ohio.
It once appeared that he would make an early decision, but staying patient and turning in a big senior season has yielded a number of attractive scholarships. Wallace has caught 30 passes for 450 yards and six touchdowns for Bowling Green (9-1) which enters the Class 5A playoffs this week as one of the favorites.
