Grading the Bulldogs
UGA kept up its winning ways with a homecoming victory over Troy. UGASports takes a critical look at the Bulldogs and hands out the following grades.
Matthew Stafford got off to a slow start, at one point completing just two of nine passes. But the sophomore picked up his game toward the end of the second quarter and responded by completing a very respectable 17 of 29 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns.
His 20-yard touchdown pass to Sean Bailey right before half was a thing of beauty. The "Skinny Post" is arguably one of the most difficult passes to defend, especially when your quarterback can put as much zip on the football as Stafford did.
There was some bad. A third-quarter interception in the Trojan end zone kept Georgia from putting the game away earlier, thus earning Stafford his B from what was an otherwise solid game.
