Bradford's day overlooked in QB circus

The Chase Daniel show took over Norman before and after the Sooners' 41-31 win in Norman this weekend. Before the matchup, no one could stop asking about stopping the Tiger's standout quarterback.

After the matchup, no one could stop asking about the yards and points Daniel put up against the Oklahoma defense.

But lost in the shuffle was the performance by OU quarterback Sam Bradford. Bradford helped the Sooner offense click early while the Tigers did everything they could to take away a running game led by Allen Patrick.

Whether it was Missouri's scheme or a lackluster performance by the Sooner offensive line, Bradford stepped up time after time to keep the chains moving through the air.

And while all eyes were on Daniel, it was Bradford's big third-down conversions that ultimately allowed the Sooners to put point after point on the scoreboard.

Even after the game, we reporters seemed to ignore Bradford's impact on the win.

"You guys are starting to take him for granted already," joked Bob Stoops who was also impressed with Bradford's ability to come up with big completions in third-down situations.
