Johnson commits to ASU

Norco (Calif.) High School offensive tackle Kyle Johnson committed to Arizona State on Sunday near the conclusion of his official visit to the school, Johnson informed ASUDevils.com.

"It went good. I committed," Johnson said. "It just happened today in a meeting with coach Erickson. ASU was a really great school and I liked it a lot. I just felt like I could go there."

The 6-foot-7 265 pound Johnson was recruited to the school by Dan Cozzetto and Matt Lubick.

Two of Johnson's former high school teammates at Norco, Garth Gerhart and Adam Tello are freshman offensive linemen for the Sun Devils. The three are close friends and spent a lot of time with Johnson while he was on his visit.
