From the West Coast to Wake

Last weekend marked the beginning of the 2007 college football season for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. It was also the first time that thousands of high school student-athletes, many of whom hold dreams of playing on Saturdays, got the chance to return to the gridiron. One of those promising young players is Dominique Austin, a 6-foot-4, 232 pound defensive end from Bishop Amat High School in La Puente, CA.

Just like Wake Forest, Austin's Bishop Amat team held a two touchdown lead early, but was unable to sustain it, ultimately losing 41-38. The two-way star (he plays tackle on offense) is always looking to improve and said "I played well but I could have done better on defense. I want to improve more on my technique."
