Q&A: Quarterback Graham Harrell

On being elected as a team captain:

Harrell: Yes, last night we did that. They elected two offense and two defense: me, Danny, CP and Paul. It's a good deal. I don't think it's anything to harp on or anything like that, but it's just an honor that the guys would elect you for that.

On his initial reaction after getting elected:

Harrell: I thought it was an honor to represent the team. That's the way it is. As a quarterback, you're kind of naturally a leader and looked to, so being a captain really shouldn't come as too big of a surprise I don't think for a quarterback especially.

On how he has changed since last year:

Harrell: I think I've changed a ton. Just a year of experience will change anyone. We had our ups and downs last season and we grew a lot. I grew a lot personally especially and learned a lot of things, and I'm excited about this season. I think a year of experience will really help me and help the team, and I think we're going to have a big year.
