Jarrett a tall, fast d-end

With his list now standing at 17 scholarship offers, Jamaar Jarrett is undoubtedly one of the hottest defensive ends on the west coast. California and Michigan are the two most recent schools to join the race for his services, and both are already standing out as leaders. But Jarrett plans to make the most of his official visits before anything is certain.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pounder has a nose for the football and the quarterback. Last season he helped lead Mission Hills High School (San Marcos, Calif.) - in only its third year with a football team - to a 9-3 record and a state semifinals appearance. Jarrett was instrumental on defense with 83 tackles and nine sacks.
