Coach's Corner: Dave White, Edison HS

Quarterback Nick Crissman (6-3, 190) ended his recruitment almost three weeks ago by making a commitment to UCLA. Bruin Blitz spoke with his head coach, Dave White, today to find out what kind of quarterback UCLA fans can expect to see in Westwood in the future.

As a junior, Crissman completed 63 percent of his passes for 3,094 yards and 27 scores. He helped lead Edison to the CIF Div.-1 Southern Section championship game.

Before becoming a Bruin, the signal caller had offers from Boise State and Colorado.

Coach White chimes in on his player. "He has a strong arm and he is accurate," White explained. "You usually only get guys that have one or the other when it comes to those two things, but he has both. I mean, he completed 65 percent of his passes last year for almost 3,100 yards. He throws a great long ball and he is a heck of a competitor. We didn't have the best offensive line last fall so he was hit a lot, but he always bounced back. He is one tough kid."
