Irish won't give up on talented Gray
When Notre Dame began its courtship of Jonas Gray last season, the running back from Detroit, Mich., wasted no time installing the Irish atop his list. But as the recruiting process dragged on and other programs began to increase their interest, Notre Dame slipped with the 5-foot-9, 206-pound running back.
The Country Day standout now favors Florida, Illinois and Minnesota, but he still hears from Notre Dame on a regular basis. In fact, Gray might camp in South Bend this summer in the hopes of adding to his growing list of scholarships.
Credit defensive coordinator Corwin Brown for keeping Gray's attention in the face of other programs rushing to make their offers.
