Sleeper passes the look test

You know you pass the look test when you attend a major college spring practice and fans from the stands yell how much they want you to play for their team, even though the fan doesn't know who the athlete is. Well that's what happened to defensive end/offensive lineman Otis Jones (6-2, 255, 4.9) from Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger.

As impressive as Jones looked, there is an excellent chance that he's going to look even better. He has an older brother playing juco football who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 300-pounds plus.

In the weight room, Jones currently benches 365, squats 460, cleans 275 and recorded a 23 vertical jump.

Jones will attend the NIKE Camp being held this Sunday (April 15th) in Los Angeles. He should test well on the bench press. At a recent SPARQ Combine, he benched 185-pounds, 30 times finishing second for the entire event to a senior so actually he had the most reps for his class.

As a junior, Jones played primarily offensive guard and earned all-league status for his performance.
