The time is now for junior wide receiver L. A. Reed to live up to his flashy name and deliver some show-time.

Almost since his arrival in Lubbock two and a half years ago, Reed has commanded the attention of Red Raider observers by virtue of his statuesque physique and the occasional impressive play on the field. Until now, however, Reed was mired on the depth chart behind talented veterans, and was seemingly bitten by the medical bug. "I really don't think it [injury] has held me back much. At times I have been [injured], but it's mainly been like during off-season and stuff, so it really hasn't affected me during the season. But now I'm perfectly fine."

Reed also indicates that his blood pressure problem is a thing of the past.
