Top recruit looking around?

With Texas A&M holding commitments from 19 juniors before the end of March, it was pretty much a given that other schools would make a run at some of them. This appears to be the case with the Aggies lone running back commitment of the class. Aundre Dean let the A&M coaching staff know on Saturday afternoon that he was officially decommitting from the Aggies.

While Dean leaves a small possibility that he could still end up signing with A&M, it appears that another school could soon be receiving a verbal commitment from the 6-foot-1, 201 pound runner.

"I'm not ready to commit anywhere just yet," Dean said. "I'm going to go to the Maroon and White game at A&M in a few weeks to check out the running backs and see the offense, but right now I'm pretty sure that I'm going to commit to UCLA after that."

Dean took an unofficial visit to the UCLA campus over spring break and he came away very impressed. However, he maintained after the trip that he still considered himself an A&M commit. After talking to his parents, Dean changed his mind and decided that decommitting would be the best thing to do.

"I wanted to be fair to the A&M coaching staff," Dean said. "I didn't want to drag them along when they could be recruiting other running backs. While I'm not quite ready to commit to UCLA, decommitting is definitely the right thing to do for myself and for A&M."
