SoCal 'backer waiting to hear more

Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) High School's Anthony McDonald is an impact linebacker drawing a lot of attention while looking for even more. He currently has offers from Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon and Boston College. He says that playing for Washington interests him but he has not heard from them in a while.

"Coach (Chris) Tormey was text messaging me often but I have not heard from him in a while," said McDonald.

With the pattern of early offers continuing for Washington, that could change soon. McDonald is one of the most sought after linebackers in the country. At 6-foot-3, 220-pounds he runs a 4.5-second 40-yard dash and has a 350-pound bench max. He was named first team all-league and first team all-CIF for the Pac Five division - compiling 101 tackles and 10 sacks as a junior. McDonald is also a member of the Rivals250 to watch Class of 2008.
