Baca checks out ND

Notre Dame's junior day events have attracted prospects from across the country. On Sunday, the Irish entertained nearly 40 top players including offensive lineman Jeff Baca of Mission Viejo, Calif.

The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder traveled to South Bend with his teammate, Warren Reuland, the brother of current Irish tight end Konrad Reuland.

"It went really good," Baca said. "I really liked the campus and the coaches are showing interest in me; that's awesome. They said they are coming out to see me in the spring."

Baca, who holds offers from Arizona and Oregon, plays tackle for the Mission Viejo Diablos but likely will find a spot on the inside in college.
