Little word from Jags to 2007 class

Before he could contact any of Boston College's commitments for 2007, new head coach Jeff Jagodzinski had to pass the NCAA's recruiting test. Having jumped that hurdle last Friday, one would expect a barrage of calls to the prospective Eagles. However, phone interviews by Eagle Action over the last few days to many of BC's fifteen commits yielded some surprising results.

Peterson is not alone in his lack of contact with BC coaches. DE Jeff Rieskamp had not heard from Jagodzinski or his staff by Monday and changed his commitment to NC State the next day. In addition, FB Devon Ramsay, OT Kenny Plue, WR Corey Gatewood, LB Dan Williams, and S Dan Mulrooney had not received a call from any member of the new Eagle staff as of Tuesday night.

It would be incorrect to claim that Jags and his staff have neglected the 2007 recruiting class.
