Christian Taylor gives 110

Bruin linebacker Christian Taylor gives you everything he has whenever he steps on the football field. He's the type of player that coaches say about of they had 11 of them they would when every ball game. Taylor is one of the undisputed leaders on the defense and the football team as whole.

Taylor has been intense this week at practice. It is obvious that the three game losing streak has left a foul taste in his mouth and that he's going to do everything in his power to change UCLA's fortunes today against Cal.

"It's tough," Taylor said. "It is a tough situation when you lose three straight it definitely is. It takes a toll on you mentally and physically, but the thing that is neat about football and neat about this situation is that you really get a chance to grow and you kind of see what you are all about.

"You get a chance to look inside yourself and say you can approach it two ways. Some guys say to themselves, oh well I don't really want to play anymore.

"Other guys it really pisses them off and they want to play even more. Situations like this separate the wheat from chaff. It's hard to tell, but we're going to put the guys and play the guys that want to play, bottom line.

"So if guys don't want to play, they won't play and we are going to play our hearts out. We are going to play our hardest out there on that field. I'm going to make sure that happens.

"Nobody is going to be on that field that's not playing their hardest and playing their guts out…"
