Mason takes in a pair of future Gophers
Last night the regular season ended as Armstrong and Stillwater head into the playoffs moving in different directions. Stillwater is playing extremely well while Armstrong has been devastated by injuries. In the stands to watch the 48-19 Ponies victory was Gopher coach Glen Mason and assistant Gordon Shaw as they took in Gopher commits David Gilreath and Colin McGarry. Rumors around the Armstrong faithful said that Wisconsin was to be there, as they have not quit in recruiting Gilreath.
This game was over quite quickly as the Ponies are really playing good football right now. On the other side of the field, Armstrong has had a season plagued by injuries. Four guys were wearing shoulder harnesses or casts, there were several leg injuries and the quarterback of the Falcons Matt Lewis, he is just coming off of a broken thumb that sidelined him for six games.
