Jones J.C. DB has six I-A offers

Each year schools from across the nation survey the landscape of the Mississippi JUCO League in search for talented recruits to help fill needs in their program. Mississippi JUCO's consistently produce some of the top JUCO talent in the nation and don't expect anything to be different this year. One player that is beginning to garner a great deal of attention is multi-talented CB/RB combo Ellis Lankster from Jones J.C. (Ellisville, Miss.). In addition to being a lock-down corner, Lankster also plays special teams and sees snaps on the offensive side of the ball on occasion.

In addition to his prowess on the football field the 5-foot-10, 195-pounder is also the starting point guard for the Jones J.C. basketball team. Two sport athletes are common at the high school level but are rare in the JUCO ranks.

"Ellis is a kid that can do a lot of things for us, he's one of the most versatile athletes that I've been around," said Jones Head Coach Eddie Pierce. "He's a 4.4 guy with good hands and a real feel for the game."
