2008 lineman impresses in Tucson

At the beginning of Arizona's Big Man camp, all eyes seemed to be on UA prospects Kris O'Dowd and Javario Burkes. However, when it was all said and done, Tyron Smith proved himself as an elite prospect.

Of course, Smith was already somewhat known nationally. As a rising junior, he won MVP at the Southern California NIKE combine this past April. In Tucson, the 6-foot-5, 260-pound offensive tackle/strongside defensive end showed why he has such a bright future playing football.

Smith's coach George Price gave us an insight into how Smith is coming along and developing at Rancho Verde High School in Moreno Valley, California.

"He is just getting able to dunk on a basketball hoop and it's getting easier and easier for him," said Price. "He is probably going to get to 6-foot-6 or 6-foot-7, and be able to weigh whatever anyone wants him to weigh."
