UCLA summer visit likely for Griffen

Although his rise to the No. 5 overall position in the country is complete, Avondale, Ariz., Agua Fria defensive end Everson Griffen is not resting on his laurels. The 6-4, 266-pound Griffen has already attended one college summer camp and plans one more before the month is out. UCLA is in his travel plans this summer, but not for camp.


"I text message (UCLA) and, I'm not going to any of their camps, but I'm going to take a visit over there most likely," said Grffen. "I like Dino Babers, Coach Todd Howard, Coach Karl Dorrell, all those guys."


The five-star prospect has professed his affinity for the Bruins numerous times, listing them in his top three in various updates. This weekend, he said that top three is not necessarily a set top three and sometimes changes to include more teams, but his continuing interest in those three - UCLA, Arizona and USC - is obvious by his travel plans this summer.
