Talented Tigers Adjusting

CORSICANA, Texas - Every year coaches make their way across the Lone Star State, and Corsicana, Texas, is always a stop along the way.

Upon entering the Tigers field house coaches are greeted by picture upon picture of Corsicana Tigers that have gone on to play football not only in college but in the pros. Texas A&M's Bethel Johnson sits among pictures of Baylor's John Simpson and numerous others, and those will be joined by 2005 Tigers Jay Finley and Cory Brandon who signed with Baylor and Oklahoma.

For the 2006 season Coach Dave Henigan's Corsicana squad already features three prospects offered by Division I programs, and more that will likely have the opportunity.

On the offensive side of the ball the Tigers are led by rising prospects Greg Stewart and Courtney Green as well as 2008 prospects Omarius Hines and Andrew Blackwell.

Stewart reports an offer from Baylor, and significant interest from Iowa, LSU, Arkansas, Southern Miss, and Oklahoma State Stewart is not ready to make a decision but one team has stood out for him from the very beginning.
